So on a lot of my paperwork we had to put a home of record. I put my home now.

Obviously that won't be my home after we move out. Do we get to change that? Like to my parents house nearby?

What if, during my time with DODEA, my parents move out of state...can we change the HOR?

haha Generally, HOR is where you are living when you are hired, which is also the place your household goods ship from and the place where you originate your travel from.

EmilyG Oooh- knowing that, maybe I will keep my HOR as Utah, since it is actually more expensive to fly between Europe and SLC than it is PDX. (I haven't yet sent the form in, so I can do that, fortunately!) Plus, Utah has much lower income taxes- Oregon has crazy high income tax. haha I don't know the regs off the top of my head but I don't recall that anyone ever checked or asked us to see our driver's license as part of the process.
