I interviewed for a Moderate/Severe position at Misawa, Japan Thursday evening. I received an offer today! We are very excited!!

The interview was scheduled to last 30 minutes but was just shy of an hour. Here are the interview questions I was asked.

Tell me about yourself.

What is the key to a great special education teacher? Also discuss planning a lesson and differentiation.

Describe a successful relationship with a general education teacher and a challenging relationship. How did you handle each?

Describe one of your most challenging students and tell me how you dealt with them.

What skills and qualities do you bring with you?

How do you utilize and manage teacher assistants?

Describe your methods to communicate with parents.

Tell us about inclusion and how you would utilize it.

Is ther anything else you would like us to know that may influence our decision?
