Is it easier to get a DODEA teaching job at American locations than abroad? I've only had one referral for Japan and no interview. Also- I'm confused on the pay scale- does that change? Any help is appreciated.
haha Opinions vary. I think it should be somewhat easier to get into a stateside DoDEA school since the benefits are not quite as attractive and it doesn't offer the added attraction of being able to live and work overseas.

someday What are your qualifications in? It is helpful because there are a few people who have some knowledge of the needs various areas have.

HelpOthers DoDEA America's does not pay relocation costs, so often you are only competing with people who live in the area. They often do pay a much higher salary than the surrounding school districts, so you often are competing with people who are from the local area.
