I would. Daegu is a big city and our housing allowance will probably cover a place with an underground garage. Korea has funny rules about Japanese cars, though.

The cars in Korea are super cheap as well - so you could easily pick up one there on the cheap. We paid $1000 for the cutest little car. They have excellent public transportation, so we used the rail/buses for larger distances, but the little Atoz we had got us around locally just great!

I don't know Daegu but I was watching a video of someone living in South Korea who said they wish they had left their car. Though they still used it, the streets were narrow so it was hard to maneuver the vehicle. Hopefully someone that actually lives there will respond.

Another friend there needs to sell their car and there are so many limitations about who you can sell the American car to that they are wishing they had not brought it.
