I got a tentative offer last week and I signed and turned in all of the paperwork HR emailed me. I'm still waiting on a professional evaluation to be completed by my former principal (who happens to be in Germany), and it's been a very stressful process to track him down and try to contact him. How imperative are these evaluations? Fingers crossed that he'll get it done by Monday. Also, how long should they take to get back to me with a firm offer?

Scholar My "missing" eval was also dodea principal which I understand is required to be submitted so I was relieved to hear the gaining principal may decide to move forward without that. I assuming you've emailed him/her and resent the eval and just have to wait now?

wanderwoman I interviewed 3 weeks ago. Yes, I finally contacted him through Facebook and he said he would complete it but I haven't heard back. I don't think he checks his FB very often. I did ask him to message me as soon as he completes it so I can let HR know asap.

SandArt Congratulations! I have read that some people here got the firm offer within a couple of weeks, but the time from tentative to firm offer for me was almost 6 weeks.

Nana B My new principal was adamant that she hear from my current admin. She wouldn't make the tentative offer until she was able to read and email or hear from her.
