How do we find how much we will receive per day for temporary quarters?

someday I am pretty sure it is called TQSE for civilians. You get temporary lodging and a meal allowance which includes some for dependents. Part will CONUS for a couple days if you have to travel to the flight and the rest will depend on new location. Search it in Google there is a website where you can figure it out. It is taxable income.

oregonslp Janie, check out this link, I think it helps clear things up. I think TQSE is for another branch of the government. We get TQSA and it is not taxable income (thank goodness). http://www.dodea.edu/Offices/HR/resources/faq/temporaryQuarters.cfm

haha As posted, it is TQSA for us (TQSE is something else). It is not taxable because it is only reimbursing you for the exact money that you have paid out. When filing it is a good idea to not come close to claiming the max amount per day and do not use round numbers ($150.00) if you want to try and avoid an audit. someday Oh ok I was mistaken. That is why I am here so I can learn from the more experienced. It is good that it is nontaxable. I keep thinking everything is called something else with civilian jobs from when I was in the army.
