What is everyone else doing???

I'm worried about this for my dog as well...from Portland, OR to Frankfurt there's really only one airline that does a direct flight from what I can tell and I don't know how much control we have over what flight/airline they book for us.

Not sure what I am doing yet. Once I get my orders, I hope to have some questions answered. I wonder if the flight attendants take the dogs out to use the bathroom? If it's a direct flight, then what?

I saw that, DoDEAHopeful, and they fly to Iwakuni. Can't wait to learn what my options are for that. We are not sending our dogs till December, so I do not know if that will complicate things or not.
