I don't have orders yet, but I called my local transportation office to get an idea of how long it'll take to schedule my HHG shipment. I told them I was supposed to get orders this week, so I was just looking for a rough estimate as my lease is up at the end of this month.

They were incredibly helpful and told me that it's looking like the current wait time is three week and that I could pre-fill the forms on move.mil.

I guess I'll be extending my lease by half a month, but it was good to get some sort of estimate to plan by!

Snow Lane It's whatever is closer. You can go to move.mil, click first time DPS users click here, then register. No orders needed to get started, but you will need your order number at some point.

I guess I could wait for directions when the orders come. Maybe I will call my local base.

Snow Lane When you log in, it'll take you to a screen green screen that says ETA Electronic Transportation Acquisition. There will be a bar on the left side. In this bar, click on Defense Personal Property System (DPS). A new window will pop up that's blue and white.

In this window, there are tabs across the top. You will click on the one that says...See More
