I have an interview for a SPED position at Ft. Bragg. I know the benefits for working overseas but I am not sure what the benefits are if I relocate to Ft Bragg. What about any stateside school?
haha My understanding is that you get regular federal employee benefits (insurance, retirement etc) but no relocation, housing etc. In some locations you have an option to live on base and pay market value (ish) rent. In some locations you also apparently get some access to base facilities (gym, library etc) but generally would not get commissary access...See More

Teach Even if you live on base, you may not rate commissary/PX privileges. I know at Camp Lejeune (same district in DDESS), teachers do not rate commissary or PX. As a DDESS employee, you get a paycheck and you have access to medical, dental, life insurance, etc. just like any other teaching job. If you have children, they can only attend the base school...See More
