Do you resign once you accept the position? Then you don't know if you are fully accepted and have no job at all...How do you all manage this?

Explain the situation to them. I actually received my firm offer the night before I was going to explain that I might not be there for next school year.

I think the vast majority of admin would understand when they hear you are leaving for DoDEA (e.g. serving your country, once in a lifetime opportunity). It's not like you are trying to go to the next district over for a bit more money.
