Input: Is this adventure worth potentially leaving your family behind for 3-6 months...maybe the entire school year? Which is worse the family resentment for taking them to a place they do not want to go or your personal resentment for letting such a great opportunity go for the second time in two years?
HelpOthers That would need to be a personal decision. Is a job worth leaving your family? If you do not have a job, it might be. If you are comfortable where you are, it might not be. SandArt What teach said. Please be considerate of the principal, staff, and the other teacher who could potentially take your place. I have been on teams where we had to help substitutes get started because a teacher bailed at the last minute. It's stressful enough getting your stuff ready, and adding a classroom neighbor who is a sub is not always fun.
