Hello all!

I recently received a tentative offer to Yokosuka. I am confident that all will go well and will receive orders eventually..lol..I really like to plan things out as much as I can. Regarding housing for DODEA, are we required to live off base or can we stay in base housing? I have viewed a few YouTube videos about both off base and on base housing. The on base housing seems to be more spacious. I really am trying to figure out what furniture to take. Thanks.

hannah Sheena, were you on referral lists for stateside and japan before you got the offer? I haven't been placed on any for overseas, only stateside and I worked for DoDEA overseas!! Trying to get back in!! Can not understand how I wouldn't be on any of these lists wit 'DoDEA experience!! Frustrating!!

HelpOthers I visited Yokosuka this week. I was told that civilians can live on base, but after 5 years, you have to move off base. At least with the current command.
