The title pretty much says it all. If I get a job and apply for my official passport, I'm assuming my spouse, who would be traveling on a foreign passport (green card holder) would do nothing, is that correct? Or do I need to get some additional paperwork for her? Thank you!

teacher42 Thanks again haha. I just recently learned that spouses and children are also required to get new passports, but of course that only applies if they're US citizens.

How do you find these old posts? Is there a search function on this board I'm not seeing?

haha I usually just google teachers.net +whatever key words I'm looking for. Sometimes you get lucky.

Zenetanar My husband is Australian and has applied for citizenship when I got the position. I was told he had to get a SOFA stamp within 30 days of arriving to our post. Then he got called for his citizenship interview, and couldn't use his Australian passport to come over with us as he was a US citizen. They are telling us his passport will take another 2-3...See More

Zenetanar That should say had applied for citizenship - he had applied six months prior to my job offer, sorry if that was confusing.
