Do i have to leave my subaru behind? How do people manage with little ones with out a car there for the first few days/weeks? Any help will be appreciated!

haha As for the Subaru, unless something has changed you cannot bring a car into Okinawa or Japan unless it was specifically manufactured for use in Japan.

California Sun Sounds like a resounding no. That said...what did you guys do with your cars? I don't want to sell it or bother my family with keeping in their garage....can i store it....any suggestions?

haha Most people seem to sell them. You can qualify for gov't storage (I don't know the exact details) but it is not apparently the kind you can take things in and out of. and most people feel it's better to get what they can out of it rather than have it sitting for years. Dr. Ali Fant I stored my car in an Mini-Storage lot for cars/boats/trailers and covered it with a Noah Car Cover -- guaranteed not to ruin the paint -- it worked. Cost for non-climate control storage is $20/month for Joplin Missouri.
