I am worried about getting a positive reference from my current supervisor who is new (less than one year). After a few decades in district, I may be applying at the wrong time :-( I am not sure if I will be able to make contact with previous supervisor(s) even if this would be allowed. Is this a deal breaker for getting a job with DoDEA?
Dr. Ali Fant I suggest making a personal visit with someone you know in HR. Someone in HR may know you better and be willing to give a positive review. haha I would do your best smooth things with your current supervisor. Sell them on the idea that you are applying to DoDEA, it's a long shot but a chance to serve your country overseas, etc. You generally need at least a decent reference from your current supervisor to have any chance with DoDEA (especially considering the pool of other candidates you a...See More
