To those of you who have gotten recent offers (congratulations!). Maybe this is obvious, but does that mean you will be starting mid-year for this 17-18 school year? Does anyone have any insight as to how common that is? I"ve also read/heard from others that sometimes the process (between offer and arrival on base) is many months, while for others, it can be relatively quick. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

No problem. Generally they would only look at applications that were in the system/renewed in April (or whenever the renewal date is for that year) for the following school year. In some cases (like with hard to fill positions) they would look beyond that group and check out anyone in the system with those certs.
