I see on the USCIS site that application for naturalization by spouses of service members can be expedited and completed while abroad, but does that extend to civilian employees such as DoDEA teachers? I'm guessing this might be one of the infamous USCIS gray areas. Has anybody tested this yet?
teacher42 It looks like it may be possible for a spouse of a DoDEA teacher to actually complete naturalization while abroad, but the favorite word of the USCIS is 'may' as in maybe, so any experience anyone can share is much appreciated. Here's what the USCIS has posted:
