SOMETHING TO CHECK ON...If you are not currently a federal employee (i.e. already w/DoDEA, etc.) you will NOT get per diem. Check w/your HR person to be sure...just in case.

Good point possibly. If not, new hires should be covered by a different Miscellaneous Expense Allowance of $1300 for PCS moves to their first posting. As I recall (now that you mention it :S), you just had to file to claim it and did not need to provide receipts.

As for the receipts. Take a photo with your phone, so you have the image ready to upload or add up when needed and you don't have to worry about losing the pieces of paper.
