I have updated by application as HR has requested. With all of my attempts, I have never had an initial placed by my qualified areas, muchless a name of person to contact who had looked over my application. This will be my third year trying for a position. Should I continue trying or just realize that it's not going to happen for me? Thank you!

Ireland7713 Wanderlust...I too think it is crazy that I have an endorsement in Sped and have been teaching Sped for 3 years, but I won't qualify for a Sped position with DoDEA. Wanderlust You too as well Ireland7713... I have a total of 19 years experience all in Special Ed. I have taught, MS, HS, and PSCD.

haha @Wanderlust: I'm surprised that none of your other SPED coursework was counted towards Mod to Severe. I ended up having to send in additional course catalogs and syllabi with the key words they were looking for highlighted (e.g. severe, physical, augmentative communication, cognitive deficits, etc) but eventually they counted them towards Mod to Se...See More

SpedTeacher74 Yes...as Haha said, I had to send in course descriptions in order for them to count my classes toward moderate to severe.

HelpOthers Is your application showing that you are qualified? If so, you don't need to see the initials. However, if you have applied for three years and still don't see this, make sure you have updated all the school-year spots.
