Haha, I had a question for you! When I was researching Japan I read something about how tattoos there are taboo. I have one on my leg from my younger days and if I got a position in Okinawa I would definitely want to go to the beach occasionally. Is this true?. Do the tattoos need to be covered?
haha It is true that Japanese people do have a bad opinion of tattoos. Mostly because tattoos are often a sign of being part of the Yakuza (criminal organization).

someday Well that alleviates some concerns I have. I have always been of the mindset that I need to respect cultural norms wherever I am so if tattoos are a no-no, I would feel uncomfortable like I am disrespecting their beliefs, etc.

HelpOthers I know at least one person in a professional position who chooses to wear long sleeves to cover tattoos, but it is not required.
