I'm new to the process as I have just recently applied and my application is active. I've searched the website and have a couple of questions that I'm hoping someone can answer. If I receive an email stating that I have been placed on referral list I realize I may or may not get an interview; however, will I know if/when that position is filled if I do not interview? Also, how long after the initial email notifying of referral does it take to hear from the selecting official regarding an interview?

haha You MAY get an email saying the position has been filled but it wouldn't normally come until the person is mostly through the process, not just that they were offered and accepted the position. It's more likely that you do not get any communication after the referral unless you get a chance to interview.
