Hi! So, I just received notice of my first referral, for a position at Ft. Bragg. (I would LOVE that, by the way. My entire family is from North Carolina.) I am just curious how long it typically is before a request for interview will be sent, if I'm selected for an interview. I know it likely depends upon the person in charge of hiring, but is there a loose estimate? What should I expect next? I know there are masses of people referred for each position, but I can't really remember how many. Am I in the hundreds of applicants that may have been referred? More? Less? This is such a unique process, so I truly do appreciate all of the patience displayed here with all of my off-the-wall questions! Thank you, a thousand times over!
HelpOthers Requests to interview could occur anywhere from hours to a couple of weeks from the time the referral list provided to the principal.

haha Tough to say really with any kind of accuracy. It depends on the position (elementary, Social Studies, etc), the location, etc. A referral list could have 10 to 25 names on it (maybe a bit more) and principal will generally interview 3-5 candidates.
