I love this message board, but the navigation of it leaves something to be desired! I hate having to ask people to repeat themselves, but I have to at this point. Awhile back, someone was kind enough to point me to a site that showed the differences in pay/benefits between Stateside and Overseas positions. I can find the pay scale, and while I understand that there's no relocation assistance for teachers stateside, it seems like I remember there being SOME financial compensation involved for a stateside move. There was also information regarding LQA for overseas assignments, etc. I've searched and can't find the post again. Now that referrals are starting to come, I want to be sure I'm clear on what's different in terms of compensation for the two different types of assignments! Thank you for any help you can offer!
HelpOthers The Stateside payscales tend to be higher with more steps and an EdS has its own pay lane, unlike overseas. There is no relocation assistance or financial compensation. I moved twice stateside, so speaking from experience.

haha I'm far from an expert on stateside benefits but maybe some posters with first hand experience can post. As far as I recall, there is no compensation for relocation, housing, post allowance, etc. with stateside DoDEA.
