I worked for DoDDS for 10 years and left for family reasons. Now I am re applying. I have excellent references from my former administrators. I interviewed over a month ago for a position in Korea, but have not heard anything since then. 15 days after the interview I reached out to the school secretary (the principal had asked that I contact the secretary with questions, etc.). I have contacted the HR office to be told that they cannot provide any additional information at this time. My questions are: Does this long period of time without any additional information mean I was not selected? (I was hired same day as my interview last time) Should I be concerned that I have not heard of being referred to any positions since then?

Thank you!
smiles43 Sorry, I left out that when I reached out to the secretary I never received a response.

haha Generally, you would get a tentative offer within a few days to a week or so. A little faster is slower is also not that unusual.

A month + starts to get into a little more unusual but not unheard of. Is it s bad sign that you haven't gotten on offer? Well, an offer is better than no offer but it is impossible to really draw conclusions at...See More

HelpOthers You can ask HR if the position has been filled. Sometimes, there is a delay if the person initially offered the job declines the offer, or later pulls out after they have accepted the offer. See if you application is still active. If your application is frozen or on hold, that is an indicator that you may be offered a position.
