Do DoDDS locations offer Dual Credit classes? I teach DC Comp I & II and Lit, but the main reason I am wondering is because my 10th grader is on track to earn 30 plus college semester hours before he graduates, so it would be great if DoDDS offers DC. However, no one in my family would think twice about leaving if we were lucky enough to go overseas.

That brings up a whole new question--What about University of Maryland and other universities that are often found at the Education Centers on base?? How do they hire professors?

someday If no dual credit options. He could do AP and test for the credits. There are also some online schools that do credit courses for high school studenst. Kinda like the internet equivalent of dual enrollment

haha Apparently, there are DC possibilities. Most of them seem to revolve around taking online classes through the Education Center and getting HS credit as well as college credit (after going through a process and getting approval). Other online options are also possible.

HelpOthers Yes, haha is correct. The student must seek approval first, so it is not a guarantee, but the student can take classes for dual credit if approved.
