H Does the probational period restart if you transfer schools or districts?

H What about if you are OCONUS? If someone starts in Korea and transfers to Japan, would they have to restart the probationary period again? And what if they start in Asia and then transfer to Europe?

haha Sorry if I wasn't clear. I was trying to say, if you are a stateside hire for an overseas position (so technically a CONUS hire) then your provisional two years would generally be served wherever you were assigned. If they moved you due to excess after one year, you would serve the 2nd year wherever you were and would then be moved to permanent. ...See More

Ida Agreed. The provisional period is two years at any Dodea school. A friend was "excessed" her first year and hired at the elementary on her complex and was off probation the beginning of 3rd year. If you think about we work for Dodea not the school so the probational period is tied to them.
