I'm looking over my transcripts and the requirements online. I'm seeing that for upper grades a minimum of 9-12 hours of upper level courses are required for most subjects. Are 2000 level courses ever accepted as upper level, or will they need to be 3000-4000 level? And how will that work if I've passed the state test to teach that subject. I'll only need half the hours, but will I still need them to be upper level courses? Thanks so much for the guidance.

BubbleHead HR told me that the UL requirements remain the same.

Ida Based on adding areas to my Dodea certification I was under the impression that the number of upper levels is reduced if you have state cert. it was proposed that if I could get a state cert I would automatically qualify even though I was 9 upper level hours short.

sgluca Interesting, thank you all for the insight. When your application is evaluated, are you told what exactly you need to meet the areas you're interested in, if you don't have the qualifications? I've just added my teaching certs and transcipts so I'm jumping ahead a bit, hoping I might be able to begin any nessesart classes as soon as possible.

BubbleHead The only thing consistent about HR is inconsistency.

Bike Grrrl When I tried to add a qual, they told me specifically how many more units I needed.
