From reading other people's experiences, it seems that people who are put on a ref. list get an interview within a week. It has been almost 2 weeks without hearing anything from either of my referrals. Of course, I will never stop hoping, but it might be time stop day dreaming of these two locations. I still feel very grateful to have made the referral list level of this anxiety-ridden process.

Buzz I'm sorry, Sara. You are right, and I am trying to remind myself that making a list is really good. I hope you make a list too. :)

Wanderlust Sara.. I too have not made a referral list yet and only an email last year, that fell through. I just keep hoping that this will be my year too.

someday Making referral lists is a good sign! Keep working on adding if you are and remember it will happen someday!! There could be stateside teachers on those lists as well as veterans before you and they never even made it to your name.

GingerZin @Sara & Wanderlust - All the referrals in the world don't matter, all we need is that one interview where magic happens;)

Scholar Two of my interview requests did not have referral list correlations. But I hit a lot of referral lists and only one came to interview request. So your name is in the hat, whether you know it or not
