For those of you grtting rrady to move for the fall congratulations!! I did have one question has there been any official word on jist how much taxes on the move you will be paying?

Icanread There is a lot of confusion right now about this! New hires and retirees are very concerned - as it seems transfers are not affected by the tax law. I moved in February and have yet to receive a debt letter or to have the taxes for the move taken out of my paycheck. someday Non-temporary storage is taxable from what I have read. There were people discussing if you could leave heavier items in storage and then have them shipped during a RAT year and if they would still tax the movement of these items when your not a new hire. Icanread I hit enter too soon... so if you owe $1000, they will split it between paychecks, taking no more than 15% of one check at a time.

HelpOthers Any time a debt collection is pulled by DFAS from your check, they keep it to 15% of your available income or something like that. I do not even think it includes the part of your income that pays for your housing, etc.
