Ok so we all ask about questions for interviews. But what are things you wish you had said/hadn't said during a DODEA interview? If you have ever sat in on a teacher interview (I know it is a phone interview typically but still) what are some things the top candidates did to stick out and make an impression? I'm trying to knock this interview out of the park. I'm specialized as many of you on here probably know. Those of you that now have jobs..help a girl out! I'm in SPED if that helps. TIA!

haha In SPED (for me) the big points would seem to be emphasizing how you can support the students to increase progress and growth (data and data analysis are good points to throw in here) , collaborate successfully with other teachers and with parents (principals hate conflicts, problems and complaints) and how you can (and have) supported a wide range...See More

slpgeek It seems like anything you can add about what really might separate you from the other candidates as far as strengths or special skills would be helpful (maybe that seems obvious). For example, I've had additional training/skills in literacy (I'm an SLP) and was able to talk about some of that how how/why I like to incorporate this into my therapy....See More
