I have never sat in on interviews or anything like that but when I meet teachers the one thing I respect more than anything is how they speak about the students. In SPED (for me) the big points would seem to be emphasizing how you can support the students to increase progress and growth (data and data analysis are good points to throw in here) , collaborate successfully with other teachers and with parents (principals hate conflicts, problems and complaints) and how you can (and have) supported a wide range...See More

It seems like anything you can add about what really might separate you from the other candidates as far as strengths or special skills would be helpful (maybe that seems obvious). For example, I've had additional training/skills in literacy (I'm an SLP) and was able to talk about some of that how how/why I like to incorporate this into my therapy....See More
