I'm on a tentative agreement right now and I'm about to start EQip. I looked on the FEA website a good bit to see if I can access the contract to read through it. I'm in a union now and I'm actually an association representative in my current position so knowing the language of a contract is something that's professionally important to me. I realize most collective bargaining units do not want their contracts floating around out there as well. Any help is appreciated, maybe I should ask HR?

Contractual questions I have are:

How many preps is a secondary teacher required to teach?

How many planning periods/lunch are we entitled to?

Class size max and minimum to run a course?

Extra duties that may be required of us?

Staff working conditions/environment?

What is the evaluation process and timeline?

haha Far from an expert but from what I have heard, know, experienced, our contract is quite old and is kept together by MOU's because negotiations for a new contract have not gone well.

haha Also, generally we are required to attend a monthly faculty meeting that sometimes runs until 4:00. That's pretty much the only after school meeting we can be required to attend.
