Also do orders usually take forever?...Its been a month since I was cleared etc. and over two months since my passport stuff was recieved. I need to request for moving too and they say i need to upload my orders to schedule.

Don't worry about it. Your situation is very unusual, even for DoDEA. You're in and hopefully everything else will work out the way you want it, eventually.

Jessica email your HR person and ask if they have had a chance to request your orders. I sent a similar email on a Friday and they emailed back saying they requested them and I was emailed the orders on Monday. It doesn't take long to get them.

Contact your new sponsor to have them help you with hotels.

Keep calling hotels! I didn't have a hotel until a week or so before we arrived. The base hotels in Oki can put you on a wait list (we were on the wait list for the Courtney Lodge). Thankfully there are always cancellations. Also, did you find the facebook page - DoDDS teachers living the Okinawa dream?

You will travel to the Republic of Korea with your tourist passport and use your official passport to travel from there to Japan. Eugenia can have your passports expedited if she agrees there is reason for her to do this by hand. She may not agree.
