Someday, that's just it. I had no idea it was locked, so I am completely confused by the email. Also, I'm just interested to know what my references put, but am too shy/uncomfortable to ask them. Do you think that requesting them will adversely affect me or my application process?

Unlocked is a little odd. The only time I've had that is when the password has been forgotten and the account has been locked.
I don't think asking for a copy of references will hurt you. Pretty sure that they will just tell you that they are confidential and decline your request.

To clarify, you were locked out of your account, or your account was inactive and is now active again? For example, when you login what does it say by your name after you click on Apply for a Teaching position? For example, mine was inactivated during the paperwork process and then reactivated in case I want to apply for another position later. Is ...See More
