However, school is about to start in the district I currently teach. Also, my references have been contacted from the DoDEA. I have a mixed bag of former and current administrators in the pool. Which is good, yes?
I have a fear that these admins (wanting to keep me in the district) will try to keep me in my contract. They have received reference check forms, so the cat is out of the bag sorta speak. One of my references wants me to talk to HR in my district now, without a tentative offer to "keep them in the loop."

It would have been better to let your current supervisor know about the interview request and your desire to work for DODEA to serve children of our military service members...
