New hire here for Japan. Single here. I am thinking since joining the DODDS teacher group and reading about the taxation of a percentage of the move that I might just do unaccompanied baggage and 2 bags with my clothing and get other items as needed once I arrive to avoid paying so much in taxes..... Anyone have opinions? Any info appreciated.

I was figuring unaccompanied would be around 4000 dollars government cost so the taxes and increased taxable income were more then the 700 I paid in postage. ...See More
