That depends on you, your location, and your comfort level. If you are bigger than the average Japanese person, you will want to bring your own couch at least. I planned my move with the taxation in mind. I did the normal hhg but left the car and did no do unaccompanied. I sent my stuff super early so I ended up having to mail myself a lot of stuff. I was figuring unaccompanied would be around 4000 dollars government cost so the taxes and increased taxable income were more then the 700 I paid in postage. ...See More
