If you are teaching at a school and decide to transfer to another school on a base nearby (Baumholder to Ramstein, 30 minutes drive) how would this affect your LQA? Would you be considered a local hire and then lose it? Would it just continue as is until the 10 year mark? Or Start over? Thanks for any help.
haha Well, you normally just don't transfer outside of the formal transfer round. If it is through the transfer round then your benefits should continue as they normally would. If you applied for an open internal position then you should still maintain your existing benefits (as far as I know).

haha And even after 10 years, you don't lose the LQA, you just can't use it to pay towards the same house (from my understanding. Not first hand since we prefer the simplicity of renting).
