I worked for DODEA in PR from 2015-2017. I made a bad decision and left. Now I want to come back to DODEA but it feels like I have been black-balled. I know this is not the case but any advice would be helpful. I did update my application and all my options are for OCONUS. I truly miss it.

DId you resign with reasonable notice or did you burn bridges? How do you know you haven't been black-balled? Does your former principal say great things about you? What does he say when you're not in the room?

haha Agreed that it is difficult to predict how the circumstances of your personal exit could affect your future chances. Judging by the many, many posts on the DoD FB page of teachers who have left and come back (and in some cases, left and came back again) it's certainly not unheard of in general for teachers to be rehired.

IsItFriday? I think the majority of rehires are actually spouses or former spouses. There initially came aboard as local hires in Dodds when their partner was stationed overseas.
