I'm currently a DoDea teacher, first full year. I'm interested in going overseas, I mainly took my job as a foot in the door. Is there an internal process for doing so? Are there any routes to getting a position overseas that I may not know of? Will I have to stay in my current position for a specific amount of time?

kiki08 Thank you RJ. I believe my application is active as I get the referral list notifications. I've been places on several different referral list, I just haven't been contacted for an interview.

haha There is currently no entry into the transfer program for DoDEA Americas teachers. So basically you are looking at getting referrals/interviews through EAS just like an external candidate. There are sometimes openings that get advertised via internal emails and you could apply for those obviously if they say DoDEA Americas employees are eligible. ....See More
