If you mean you were notified that you were on a referral list, then it could be anywhere from hours to never. A few days to a week is fairly typical.

Again, it is a bit different depending on whether you are saying you were notified that you made it on to a referral list for a position or heard from a principal directly that they were interested in interviewing you.
