Hello All, I am a new hire but my current district will not accept my resignation and they are threatening to place a sanction on my Educator Certification. I am deemed qualified by the DoDEA and have a firm offer with a report date but no travel orders or pack-out yet scheduled. Will having my certificate sanctioned for a year affect my position with the DODEA? What about future moves within the DODEA system? Anyone with experience in this?
someday What state are you in? Sometimes they are just blowing smoke and really can't do anything but it depends on the state.

los4locos I'm in Texas. I spoke to a lawyer with the association I belong to and they said it was within the districts right to do so. I hope to leave with only 9 weeks left in the year. haha I have heard of this happening to people before. I know have/heard of several people who went ahead and took the DoDEA position. In some cases the state/district didn't bother to follow through. In another, the state did go ahead with some type of sanction but it didn't affect their standing with DoDEA.
