What state are you in? Sometimes they are just blowing smoke and really can't do anything but it depends on the state.

I'm in Texas. I spoke to a lawyer with the association I belong to and they said it was within the districts right to do so. I hope to leave with only 9 weeks left in the year. I have heard of this happening to people before. I know have/heard of several people who went ahead and took the DoDEA position. In some cases the state/district didn't bother to follow through. In another, the state did go ahead with some type of sanction but it didn't affect their standing with DoDEA.
