Would love to hear from anyone teaching Preschool disabled (hate that term!). Are you teaching self-contained, integrated itinerant? Also, our adult son is looking at grad school in Europe, which may or may not end up near us. Can we bring adult children with? He would probably just stay with us between semesters.

Woodsie This is all great information! Thank you. I absolutely love my chosen field and this makes it all the more exciting. But I guess if it is going to be this difficult due to layoffs...perhaps I see him off to Grad school and go visit him! Thank you again and best of luck to all!

HelpOthers I thought PSCD was Preschool Children with Disabilities. That does sound better. Yes, some also push into Sure-start (the general ed preschool) with support.

IbeforeE slightly off topic, but i was wondering if anyone has info of SLP need/openings in Asia as i read on this post that most hirings will probably be in that part of the world.

I'd love Korea or Japan or any quite frankly ; ) TIA

HelpOthers @SLPnyc it is possible. Just make sure your EAS is active. You can keep an eye out on USAJobs.org, but SLP positions are rarely posted there.
