Qualed

I finally got qualed, thank goodness . I called the DODEA here in Virigina and asked to speak to the person who was in charge of my file. My undertabding is each person there at Dodea is given a file by alphabetical order. So try to find out who has your file. It took me 3 weeks total to submit my transcripts and get qualed, much faster then waiting on them to do it themsleves.

So now my question if anyone can help. I have been qualed for special education mild/moderate for EC-12 and selected my target areas as Europe and Puerto Rico as well. Does anyone have any idea how long it might take to start receiving interview emails or calls if you are selcted ?

Icanread It can take weeks to months to years. Some of the teachers I work with applied for 5+ years before they finally got hired. It took me about a year. It's an automated system that doesn't always have a lot of rhyme or reason to it. SpEd_Eddie You aren't going to like this answer. But your chances are slim to none this year. They have excessed 360 teachers this year. They have to place alll those teachers before they start hiring new ones.

haha I don't disagree with much of the above. The odds are longer this year than most years. But, no one can say for certain that there won't still be some new CONUS hiring this year. There likely will be some, whether it be 10 or 100, no one can really knows. I think we'll know more in the next month or so.
