Greetings all from sunny Florida! My husband and I have been working through the DODD application process. We are both career changers and don't have education degrees. However, we both have higher degrees (MBA and law) but are getting "not qualified" on all of our qualifications. We've been teaching for over 10 years now and attended a Teacher Immersion Program through our local university. Any tips or tricks to help us understand what we need to do to get "qualified?" I've taught science for almost 5 years now and he teaches US History and AP Capstone. We aren't picky where we go. Thanks in advance.

haha Without a teaching degree you would need to at least have the required credits for the areas you are applying for (as posted in the link above or thereabouts). If you have a state certification then generally you would only need half of the usually required credits (15 vs. 30, 12 vs 24, etc.). Courtney Thank you. Your information was helpful. I did complete a student teaching program so I don't have to take the Praxis. It was a 36 hour program that included graduate level education classes. They weren't called "methods of teaching..." so I believe that's why I'm not getting credit.
