Also, I have my application in for school counseling positions in middle and high school. Has anyone heard of a school counselor being hired? Am I hoping on a really long shot?

If an offer has been made, he needs to accept it or his application will be unavailable the rest of the school-year. However, Yokosuka is a LARGE complex with several counseling positions. Just a quick update... we turned the position down after talking things over with an HR specialist. My husband is still getting referrals as of right now but all are for Japan.
