New applicant here. I am finalizing my online application with DoDEA. In the File Attachments section, it is required to upload a teaching cert and transcripts. However, there is no option in the drop-down menu for "resume" or "cover letter." There is an option for "application," but you can only upload one file for each category in the drop-down menu.

So my question is: Is it generally frowned upon to upload a PDF of one's resume or cover letter? Or just unheard of? I understand their online application program is coded such that they get the information they need. I'm just another applicant, I get that. However, the only reason this bothers me is because it doesn't include much room for job description. My current job is a bit different from a traditional classroom, and I am rather proud of the aspects of my job that have grown my classroom management and force on me experience that a lot of traditional classrooms don't provide. Soda I recommend uploading a letter to your application. I talked with a principal (unfortunately, after I had already accepted a job stateside) and he told me that's what put me above other candidates.

HelpOthers Like haha said, make sure the information is included in the application itself. If you are asked to interview, you may be asked to send a resume at that time.
