If you accept a position stateside, are you paid more vs. overseas as with overseas you receive housing? Is that correct? Also with stateside do they pay for the move like they would for overseas? Any info would be helpful.

haha The salary is more stateside, but they give less credit than overseas, but stateside doesn't pay a housing allowance and they generally do not pay for moving, travel, etc.

haha Agree. Crossed posts. My understanding is that most of the tax on move burden has been taken care of, but haven't followed it in detail since it doesn't/won't apply to me anytime in the near future.

RL85 If you are willing to live and work overseas...DODEA overseas is the golden ticket (coming from a DDESS stateside teacher)

Lindsey I do hope that is true @haha I have actually decided to keep most of my belongings in non temporary storage and get new things out there. Partly because of the taxes and also because my stuff always seems to break in big moves.
