I see one posted and it says you are required to fill out a mobility agreement-- is that common for ISS jobs?

Do these positions typically get filled by teachers already with DODEA first?

Cookie All CONUS to OCONUS positions require a mobility agreement, depending on location, some may be one year, some two. It's basically a guarantee for the government to get some time out of you after paying for move you overseas.

haha Agree. But I also found it interesting that even the stateside based ISS positions were requiring a mobility agreement. I guess it makes sense though since they are also apparently reimbursing you for a within CONUS move as an ISS, as opposed to stateside teacher level positions (from what I recall).

Teachin Stateside teacher here...I was not required to sign a mobility agreement because they did not pay to move me. However, an ISS I spoke with was surprised that they didn't move me since they paid to move her.

haha Yes, for good or bad, "above" school level positions do seem to come with more perks than teachers receive.
