Last year, I did not start getting referrals until June. I know last year they had closed some locations and cut programs, so they had to place all of those teachers . I'm wondering if that's the most likely reason my referrals started so late and if I should hopefully expect to see some sooner this year.
haha As always, hard to say what really goes on behind the scenes. But, there were a large amount of excess people to place compared to this year. All/virtually all of the excessed teachers should have been placed by now, so that at least shouldn't really affect the timing of the hiring season.

Icanread Well, to my knowledge, they have placed most (if not all) the excesses this year. So hopefully referrals will be going out sooner rather than later. However, the coronavirus has caused some school closures which will definitely affect the hiring process, as principals are focused on how to navigate school closures, online schooling, etc.

Teachin When they close a school, or eliminate a position due to enrollment, they excess teachers. The organization then finds positions for them somewhere in the world. If you take it, they move you. If you don't take it, you are choosing to end your employment.
