Can someone tell me what I would be qualified to teach with the 0420 Elementary Mild Learning Impairment certification? Would I be able to work as a Student Support Specialist (Resource Room Teacher)? What else might I qualify for? Thank you!
haha Mild Learning Impairment is the primary SPED position with DoDEA. Basically, LIMM (as we call them) teachers do push-in, pull-out, resource room, remediation and at the MS/.Secondary level, teach Learning Strategies classes and/or individual Math and ELA classes.

So, although many principals might want to have someone who could also teach...See More

Mullinzo Thank you @haha! That totally answers my question. :) The SSS, from what I understand, is the pull-out resource room-type teacher. However, I could be mistaken. Thanks for the quick and thorough reply.

haha Nope, like I said, Mild Leaning Impairment is the push in/pull out resource room teacher (at least in any school I'm familiar with/have knowledge of).

Where did you see anything about an SSS position? I've never seen that position or certification on any transfer list or anything (not that I know/have seen everything)?
