Thank you for your response. As far as postings goes is this one of the less desirable ones? Besides travel back and forth to the states is there any other travel opportunities? Any others information about life on this base that you can provide would be appreciated!

I would say many people consider it a hardship posting due to the relative isolation. I don't actually know the details about leaving base/country for travel beyond what I read here and on the DoD FB page.

There is no longer a charter flight on/off the base. It is really hard to get on the military flights, as most other people have priority over teachers. So if you need to return to the states, it can be really difficult to leave.
But I have heard wonderful things about the base, the people, the community, and the events that go on there!
